For the past 20 years I have been working with clay, creating a variety of pieces focusing mostly on hand building.
how it all started.....
After attending several courses both locally and abroad, and realising that I could express myself so freely in this medium, I decided to take pottery more seriously and so I set up my own studio at home.
Working with different clays allows me to experiment with a variety of glazes. I often partly glaze my pieces because I like the rough texture of the clay against the smooth glaze.
Although my work covers a variety of subjects, most of my 'one off' pieces often reflect feelings from a situation at that moment in my life.
What inspires me most is the coastal waters around the Maltese islands, the rock formation and the colours both above and below the sea.
